The Rep & STAGES: A Partnership Created for the Stage

When dynamic leaders from the theatre community convene for an evening of camaraderie, innovation, and enjoyment, remarkable things unfold.

In the fall of 2023, Danny Williams (Managing Director at The Rep), Becks Redman (Associate Artistic Director at The Rep), Gayle Seay (Artistic Director at STAGES), and Andrew Kuhlman (Executive Producer at STAGES) came together to pioneer an unprecedented collaborative venture between two of the region's leading theatre companies: The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and STAGES St. Louis.

They understood that there is no better approach than constructing something that arises from the foundational essence of both organizations, the compelling and transcendent power of theatre. And during this pivotal period of rebuilding and reinvention within the nationwide theatre industry, collaboration and celebration are paramount.

Out of those conversations, the idea of a joint endeavor aimed at co-producing a holiday spectacle designed to infuse joy, entertainment, and nostalgic charm into the fabric of the St. Louis community. Thus, the decision was made to unite forces for the St. Louis premiere of Million Dollar Quartet Christmas coming this winter to the Loretto-Hilton Center.
